PANEER MOONG DAAL DOSA, recipe of paneer moong dal chila

Main ingredients –moong dal and paneer
Step by step recipe of paneer moong dal dosa/chila –a pancake made with moong dal and stuffed with paneer.


This is my favorite recipe of moong dal, I eat this chila at every marriage of Rajasthan. They are very famous here.
Now-a-days we can also see them on street as street food too.
My husband and MIL just love this dosa. I usually serve this dosa with green chutney.
If you don’t like the paneer stuffing then you can try this dosa plain. As plain moong dal dosa.


Ingredients for paneer moong dal dosa –
1. Moong dal -2 cups
2. Green chilies -3-4
3. Ginger -1 inch
4. Red chili powder -1 tsp
5. Salt to taste
6. Oil as required.
For stuffing –
1. Grated Paneer –cup
2. Finely chopped onions -2 tbsp
3. Chopped tomatoes -2 tbsp
4. Chopped Green chilies -1 tbsp
5. Salt to taste
How to make paneer moong dal dosa –
1. Wash and rinse the moong dal to make them dirt free.
2. Now soak the dal in water for about 2-3 hrs.
3. Now grind the moong dal along with green chilies and ginger.
4. Grind it to a thin paste.
5. Now add the red chili powder and salt to it. Mix well and make the batter lumps free.
6. Mix all the ingredients of stuffing and keep aside.
7. Now apply some oil on a non-stick pan.
8. Take a ladle of dal batter and spread it on the pan.
9. Cook it on medium to low flame until it looks dry from above.
10. Now flip the dosa and cook for few seconds.
11. Now spread the stuffing on it and start folding.
12. Fold the dosa and serve hot with green chutney.
Step by step recipe with pictures –
Take the moong dal in a bowl.


Add water and wash.


Rinse the water.


Add water again to soak.


Soak the dal in water for about 2-3 hrs.


Now grind the moong dal along with green chilies and ginger.


Grind it to a thin paste.


Now add the red chili powder and salt to it.


Mix well and make the batter lumps free.


Take the stuffing ingredients in a mixing bowl.


Mix all the ingredients of stuffing and keep aside.


Now apply some oil on a non-stick pan.


Take a ladle of dal batter


And spread it on the pan.


Cook it on medium to low flame until it looks dry from above.


Apply oil on it.


Now flip the dosa and cook for few seconds. and flip again


Spread the paneer stuffing on it.


Fold from one side.


Then from another side.


Serve hot with green chutney.
