MOONG DAL DOSA, recipe of how to make peeli moong dal ke chile

Main ingredients –moong dal

Step by step recipe of moong dal dosa/chila –a pan cake made with moong dal, which is very tasty to eat and easy to make.

Moong dal chila/dosa is very famous in Rajasthan; we can find it mostly in every marriage of Rajasthan. Where this chila is stuffed or filled with paneer.

I have also shared the recipe of paneer moong dal chila on the blog.

I often make this chila along with meetha puda, which is also a very famous dish of Rajasthan; soon I will post that too.

Ingredients for moong dal dosa –

  1. Moong dal -2 cups
  2. Green chilies -3-4
  3. Ginger -1 inch
  4. Red chili powder -1 tsp
  5. Salt to taste
  6. Oil as required.

How to make moong dal dosa –

  1. Wash and rinse the moong dal to make them dirt free.
  2. Now soak the dal in water for about 2-3 hrs.
  3. Now grind the moong dal along with green chilies and ginger.
  4. Grind it to a thin paste.
  5. Now add the red chili powder and salt to it. Mix well and make the batter lumps free.
  6. Now apply some oil on a non-stick pan.
  7. Take a ladle of dal batter and spread it on the pan.
  8. Cook it on medium to low flame until it looks dry from above.
  9. Now flip the dosa and cook for few seconds.
  10. Fold the dosa and serve hot with green chutney.

Step by step recipe with pictures –

Take the moong dal in a bowl.

Add water and wash.

Rinse the water.

Add water again to soak.

Soak the dal in water for about 2-3 hrs.

Now grind the moong dal along with green chilies and ginger.

Grind it to a thin paste.

Now add the red chili powder and salt to it.

Mix well and make the batter lumps free.

Now apply some oil on a non-stick pan.

Take a ladle of dal batter.

And spread it on the pan.

Cook it on medium to low flame until it looks dry from above.

Apply oil on it.

Now flip the dosa and cook for few seconds.

Now flip again and fold from one side.

Then from another side too.

Serve hot with green chutney.
