RICE ROTI, recipe of akki roti

Main ingredients –rice flour

Step by step recipe of rice roti/akki roti –flat bread made with rice flour, onions, and curry leaves, green chilies and salt.

Akki is known as rice in kannada, and its an everyday meal of Karnataka. Its served with chutney or aloo paliya.

This recipe is very simple and easy to make, even beginners can make it easily.

It can be made thin or based on your choice. Here in this roti if you want to add more veggies for your kids, that also you can do. They are so tasty and healthy for your family, so give it a try.

My other recipes of roti are – wheat roti, bajre ki roti, missi roti and make di roti.

Ingredients for akki roti/rice roti-

  1. Rice flour -1 cup
  2. Chopped onions -1 small
  3. Chopped green chilies -1 tbsp
  4. Chopped curry leaves -1 tbsp
  5. Cumin seeds -1 tsp
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Oil as required

How to make akki roti recipe –

  1. Take all the ingredients in a mixing bowl except oil.
  2. Mix them and add warm water into it.
  3. Make a smooth dough of it.
  4. Now take a plastic cover and apply some oil on it.
  5. Take a small portion of the dough and put it on the plastic bag.
  6. Now tape your fingers on it and make the roti round enough.
  7. Now make 4 holes on the roti for the heat to go inside of it.
  8. Now carefully take the roti on your palm by removing the plastic cover from it.
  9. Now place the roti on hot tawa.
  10. When the roti is dry from above apply some oil on it and flip it.
  11. Cook from both sides and serve hot with coconut chutney.
