PHOOL GOBHI AND MATAR KI SUKHI SABJI, dry recipe of cauliflower and peas

Main ingredients –cauliflower and peas

Step by step recipe of phool gobhi and matar ki sukhi sabji –a nicely cooked recipe of cauliflower and peas with Indian spices and has tangy taste of dry mango powder.

This is a very simple recipe of cauliflower and peas. We can say this recipe is for beginners and bachelors.

Here in this recipe I have used very simple ingredients, which are the common ingredients we use in our kitchen. These ingredients are like red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, dry mango powder and salt.

I have put the cauliflower in saline hot water to remove any insect from it. As we know there can be any insect or mosquito in the cauliflower.

Ingredients for phool gobhi and matar ki sukhi sabji –

  1. Cauliflower -1/2 kg
  2. Peas -1 cup
  3. Ginger-garlic-green chili paste -1 tbsp
  4. Red chili powder -1 and ½ tsp
  5. Coriander powder -1 tbsp
  6. Turmeric powder -1/2 tsp
  7. Dry mango powder -1 tbsp or as par your taste
  8. Oil -2 tbsp
  9. Cumin seeds -1 tsp
  10. Bay leaves -2-3
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Chopped coriander for garnishing

Recipe of how to make phool gobhi and matar ki sukhi sabji –

  1. Chop the cauliflower and boil it in saline water to remove any dirt from it.
  2. Now drain it and keep aside.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and temper with cumin seeds and bay leaves.
  4. Now add the ginger-garlic-green chili paste.
  5. Cook for 2 minutes and add peas into it.
  6. Also sprinkle some salt and cook for about 7-8 minutes or until the peas are quite soften.
  7. Now add the boiled cauliflower into it.
  8. Add turmeric and salt to it.
  9. Mix well and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  10. Add in red chili powder, coriander and dry mango powder into the pan.
  11. Mix well and for another 3-4 minutes.
  12. Switch off the flame and sprinkle the chopped coriander on it.
  13. Serve hot with chapatti or rice.

Step by step recipe of phool gobhi and matar ki sukhi sabji –

Chop the cauliflower

Wash it to remove dirt.

Take it in a large bowl and add water and salt 

Boil it in saline water to remove any dirt from it.

Now drain it and keep aside.

Heat oil in a pan

And temper with cumin seeds and bay leaves.

Now add the ginger-garlic-green chili paste.

Cook for 2 minutes

 

and add peas into it.

Also sprinkle some salt

And cook for about 7-8 minutes

Or until the peas are quite soften.

Now add the boiled cauliflower into it.

Add turmeric and salt to it.

Mix well and cook for 3-4 minutes.

Add in red chili powder, coriander and dry mango powder into the pan.

Mix well and for another 3-4 minutes.

Switch off the flame and sprinkle the chopped coriander on it.

Serve hot with chapatti or rice.
