Spicy Peanuts Recipe, how to make chatpati mungfali at home

Main ingredients –peanuts, oil, red chili powder and salt
Step by step recipe of spicy peanuts –deep fried peanuts coated with red chili powder and salt.
Here the peanuts are deep fried but if you want you can shallow fry them and coat with spices of your own choice. Like some people like to add dry mango powder, chaat masala, black pepper powder or so on…
It’s a nice tea time snack and I don’t think in India anyone can neglect them.
You can also use them in your bhel puri or masala puri or any other chaat.
If you like you can just remove the brown peel from the peanuts and then coat them with spices.
Ingredients for spicy peanuts –
- Peanuts -2 cups
- Oil for deep frying
- Chili powder -1 teaspoon
- Salt -1/4 or ½ teaspoon
How to make it –
- Heat the oil and fry the peanuts on low to medium flame.
- Fry until they are brown. Don’t burn them.
- Remove from the oil.
- Sprinkle the red chili powder and salt to it.
- Mix and serve.

Serve these peanuts as a snack with chai or you can also use them in your bhel puri.
