SUJI KA CHILLA, HOW TO MAKE RAVA MASALA DOSA RECIPE

A step by step recipe of suji ka chilla –a chila cooked with rava and curd with a filling of aloo ka masala.

Suji ka chila, it’s a very common and known recipe but very delicious whenever you make. The main part of it is this aloo paliya which make them more delicious.

I just love this chila because it’s very light to have. You don’t even feel heaviness on your tummy.

This is a easy to make recipe so go for it and make your breakfast interesting.

Other recipes of rava are - suji ke laddoo, suji ka sheera, rava uttapam, rava idli, tirangi idli, chawal suji ka chilla, rava upma, rava set dosa.

Ingredients for suji ka chila–

  1. Semolina/rava/suji -2 cups
  2. Curd/butter milk/chas -2 and ½ cup
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Aloo masala -2 cups
  5. Black mustard seeds -1/2 tsp
  6. Oil as required

Method to prepare suji ka chila –

  1. Take the semolina in a mixing bowl.
  2. Beat the curd to make it smooth.
  3. Mix the curd in semolina.
  4. Also add some salt and mix.
  5. Now leave the batter to rest for 30 minutes.
  6. Now heat 1 tbsp oil in a small pan.
  7. And temper it with black mustard seeds.
  8. Add this on the semolina mixture.
  9. And mix it.
  10. Now heat a non-stick tawa to make the chilla. Place 3-4 tbsp of batter on it.
  11. Spread it with a spoon in the round shape.
  12. It should be a thin chilla to make it crispy.
  13. Apply some oil all over it(about 1 tsp).
  14. Now flip it.
  15. Now flip again and cook it for 2 minutes.
  16. Now remove it from the pan.
  17. Now spread some aloo masala in the middle of it.
  18. And fold it from both the sides.
  19. Serve it with coconut chutney/green chutney/sauce.
