GAJAR PAK, HOW TO MAKE GAJAR PAK RECIPE

A step by step recipe of gajar pak – gajar pak is nothing but a gajar ka halwa in chakki form. Here I did not grate the carrots but chopped them and cooked them with little milk in pressure cooker.

Yes pressure cooker, just chopped and boil. Them mashed the carrots and cook it with malai, ghee and sugar.

This is an easy way to make gajar ka halwa. If you are in hurry and don’t have time to grate the carrots then you must try this recipe. This is a quick solution for you.

This recipe was recommended by my sister-in-law. She used to make it once in a week for her kids. So I thought I must try this. And I made it first time. And the result was just a delicious dish you can never miss.

So don’t waste the time and make this recipe for your kids and family, and then see the happiness on their face. That will give a complete satisfaction.

Ingredients for gajar pak –

  1. Carrots -2 kg
  2. Milk -250 ml
  3. Malai -2 cups
  4. Ghee -200 mg
  5. Sugar -200 mg
  6. Almond and pistachio flacks for garnishing

Method for preparing gajar pak –

  1. Wash the carrots and make it clean.
  2. Now peel them.
  3. Now chop the carrots as you chop them for your bhaji.
  4. Now place them in a pressure cooker and add the milk in it.
  5. Now cover the cooker and cook it upto 3-4 whistles. (first whistle on high flame and others on low flame, as the milk will come out from the pan).
  6. Now open the lid of the cooker.
  7. Mash the carrots with a masher.
  8. Now again switch on the flame and cook it.
  9. Cook until the milk and water of carrots evaporates.
  10. Now whisk the malai with a beater.
  11. And make it smooth.
  12. When the water of carrots evaporates add the malai in it.
  13.  Now mix it and cook.
  14. Cook it with continue stirring.
  15. It should be completely dry.
  16. Now add ghee in it.
  17. Again cook it for 15-20 minutes with continue stirring.
  18. Cook it until the ghee leaves the pan.
  19. Now add sugar in it.
  20. Mix well.
  21. Cook for another 10-15 minutes.
  22. Now Greece a thali. And place this entire mixture in it.
  23. Now sprinkle some almond and pistachio flacks on it.
  24. Let it to be cool then put it in freeze for 1 hr and cut it into pieces.

Cook until the milk and water of carrots evaporates.

Now whisk the malai with a beater.

And make it smooth.

When the water of carrots evaporates add the malai in it.

 Now mix it and cook.

Cook it with continue stirring.

It should be completely dry.

Now add ghee in it.

Again cook it for 15-20 minutes with continue stirring.

Cook it until the ghee leaves the pan.

Now add sugar in it.

Mix well. Cook for another 10-15 minutes.

Now Greece a thali. And place this entire mixture in it.

Now sprinkle some almond and pistachio flacks on it.

Let it to be cool then put it in freeze for 1 hr and cut it into pieces.
