METHI PARANTHA, HOW TO MAKE METHI THEPLA RECIPE

A step by step recipe of methi parantha –a parantha made with fresh fenugreek leaves and wheat flour.

Methi parantha is also known as methi thepla in Guajarati.

Methi parantha is one of delicious and healthy recipe to have. Methi is very nutritious we must have it.

Here I have cooked it with chopped fenugreek leaves but if you want you can use the paste of fenugreek. Just boil the fenugreek and make a paste of it and then knead the dough with it.

You can also add some garlic-ginger paste to enhance the taste of it. I made it a simple parantha by adding just red chili powder and salt. But you can add more ingredients in it like –dry mango powder, some cumin seeds, chopped green chilies or garlic-ginger paste. And make your parantha tastier.

Ingredients for methi ka parantha –

  1. Wheat flour -2 cups
  2. Fenugreek leaves -2 cups
  3. Red chili powder -1 tbsp
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Oil as required

Method to prepare methi ka parantha –

  1. Chop the fenugreek leaves.
  2. Now take it in a mixing bowl.
  3. Now add wheat flour in it.
  4. Also add the red chili powder and salt to it.
  5. Now knead dough of it with the help of water.
  6. Now roll it with a rolling pin.
  7. Now put it on a hot pan and cook it by applying some oil on it.
  8. Make it crispy. Serve it with rayta.
