A step by step recipe of gond ke laddoo –sweet laddoos made with wheat flour, ghee and gond.

Gond ke laddoo, we Rajasthani people make them in every winter for our family to fight against the winter and winter diseases.

Its very good for our body to have ghee in winter season, so this is a major source to have the ghee.

Gond and ghee both provides heat and energy to our body.

I think in every household we can find them. And gond is also a very nutritious thing. So we add them both in wheat flour to make these laddoos. And every morning we eat one laddoo with a glass of hot milk.

Eat 1-2 laddoo every morning and be immune to the cold.

Health benefits of edible gum –

  1. It is beneficial for pregnant ladies as it strengthen the back bone.
  2. It is also given to the lactating mothers as it helps in the production of milk.
  3. Help to immune your body against winter.

My other recipes of laddoo are –til ke laddoo and suji ke laddoo.

Ingredients for gond ke laddoo –

  1. Wheat flour -3 cups
  2. Suji/semolina -1/2 cup
  3. Ghee -3 cups
  4. Powdered Sugar -3 cups
  5. Gond/edible gum -1/2 cup
  6. Cashews and almonds/crushed -1 cup
  7. Crushed black pepper -1 and ½ tbsp

Method to prepare gond ke laddoo –

  1. Melt the ghee in a kadhai.
  2. And add wheat flour in it.
  3. Also add the semolina in it.
  4. Mix all them well.
  5. Now roast the wheat flour and semolina in ghee.
  6. Roast it until the ghee comes up.
  7. The wheat flour and semolina will also change their color into brown.
  8. Now crush the gond.
  9. Add this gond in the flour.
  10. Mix well. You will see that the gond is rising up with this hot ghee and flour mixture.
  11. Now after 10 minutes of cooking switch of the flame.
  12. Let it too be slightly cool.
  13. Now add the crushed cashews, almond and black pepper in it.
  14. Mix well.
  15. Now add the powdered sugar in it.
  16. Mix well with your hand.
  17. Now make the laddoos.
  18. Prepare all the laddoos and let them to set. Then put them in an air tight container.
  19. Enjoy your gond ka laddoo every morning.
