Aloo and chawli bhaji recipe –mixed bhaji made with potato and chawli fali.

A very simple and easy recipe of potato and chawli fali. This bhaji is cooked in a paste of curd, garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and salt.

I made this bhaji in pressure cooker so it took only 15 minutes in cooking.

Ingredients for aloo and chawli bhaji –

  1. Potato -3-4 large
  2. Chawli fali -2 cups
  3. Curd -1 cup
  4. Red chili powder -1 tsp
  5. Turmeric powder -1/2 tsp
  6. Coriander powder -1 tsp
  7. Garlic paste -2 tbsp
  8. Cumin seeds -1 tsp
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Oil -3 tbsp

Method to prepare aloo and chawli bhaji –

  1. Peel the potato and chop them.
  2. Now take the curd in a mixing bowl and add red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garlic paste and salt into it. Mix well to make a smooth paste.
  3. Now heat oil in a pressure cooker.
  4. Temper it with cumin seeds.
  5. Add the curd paste and cook until the oil comes up.
  6. Now add the potato and chawli fali into it.
  7. Mix well and 1/3 cup of water into it.
  8. Cook for about 1 whistle and switch off the flame.
  9. Don’t open it immediately.
  10. Serve hot with chapatti.
