   Aloo daal kabab -it’s a kabab recipe where potatoes are stuffed with moong daal stuffing.

kababs are famous in lucknow. lucknow is proud of its kebabs.

 Ingredients for aloo daal kabab -

  1. Potatoes boiled and mashed- 1/2 kg

  2. Breadcrumbs of fresh bread - 5-6 nos

Filling -

  1. Moong daal- 100gms(soaked for half an hr)

  2. Onions- 3 large

  3. Lemon- 1

  4. Cornstarch- 2 tablespoon

  5. Garlic-ginger paste-1 tb spoon

  6. Green chillies -2-3 finely chopped

  7. Red chilly powder-1 tablespoon

  8. Turmeric powder-1/2 tablespoon

  9. Salt to taste

  10. Green Coriander finely chopped

  11. Oil as required

  Method for preparing aloo daal kabab -

1.Mix potatoes bread crumbs,salt and make a dough and keep aside until required.

2.Finely chop the onions.

3.Heat oil in a pan ,add onions ,garlic- ginger paste, saute it until the onions become brown ,then add moong daal in it ,turmeric powder,salt and 1/2 cup of water ,and cook it till the daal is cooked well( it will be a dry filling).

4.Now add rest of the filling ingredients in it ,mix them well .

5.Now make small laddoo with the potato dough and fill the masala in it and press the laddoo in between the palms and give it the shape of tikki to it.

6.Make all the tikki in such a way .

7.Now take a tawa or frying pan heat 3-4 tb spoon oil and shallow fry your tikki on it,serve hot with green coriander chutney..
