Aloo-chana recipe –it’s a dry recipe which we can eat anyhow we want. This recipe is made with potato and soaked and boiled Bengal gram with tangy tomato puree.

This is a quick and easy recipe too; you can also make this recipe in gravy form, by adding curd or more of tomato puree.

But with the leftover of this dry aloo-chana recipe you can also make stuffed puree or bhel puri.

Ingredients for aloo-chana recipe –

  1. Soaked and boiled Bengal gram(kala chana) -2 cups
  2. Boiled and diced potato -2 cups
  3. Tomato puree -1 and ½ cup
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Oil -1 tbsp
  6. Chopped coriander for garnishing

Ingredients to make a paste-

  1. Onion -1
  2. Ginger -1 small piece
  3. Paav bhaji masala -1 tsp
  4. Cumin powder -1 tsp
  5. Red chili powder -1 tsp
  6. Daliya -2 tbsp
  7. Tomato sauce -2 tbsp
  8. Lemon juice -2 tbsp

Method for preparing aloo-chana-

  1. Grind all the ingredients given for make a paste column and make a paste of it.
  2. Now heat oil in a pan add this paste and sauté it.
  3. Now add tomato puree and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Now add chana, aloo and salt in it and cook until the water gets absorbed.
  5. Switch off the flame garnish with coriander and serve hot.
