Aloo paneer ki bharwan mirchi recipe – whole green chilies stuffed with a mixture of potato and paneer.

Stuffed chilies are famous in all our India in different different styles,you can stuff your chilies with lots of other things like roasted peanut powder, or with grated coconut, or with roasted gram flour and so on.

But here we are using boiled potato and paneer to stuff our chilies to make them delicious.

 Ingredients for aloo paneer ki bharwan mirchi –

  1. Whole green chilies -10
  2. Boiled and mashed potato -2 cups
  3. Grated paneer/cottage cheese -1 cup
  4. Chopped onion -1/2 cup
  5. Chopped garlic -1 tbsp
  6. Oil -3 tbsp
  7. Cumin seeds -1 tsp
  8. Red chili powder -1 tsp
  9. Turmeric powder -1 tsp
  10. Dry mango powder -2 tsp
  11. Coriander powder -1 tsp
  12. Salt to taste

Method to prepare aloo paneer ki bharwan mirchi –

  1. Firstly, slit the chilies lengthwise from one side keeping the other side intact.
  2. Now heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan and half cook the chilies in it. Remove the chilies from the pan and keep them aside.
  3. Now again heat oil in the same pan and add cumin seeds in it.
  4. Now add chopped onion and garlic and sauté for 3-4 minutes.
  5. Now add all the spices and mashed potato in the pan mix well.
  6. Now add paneer and salt to it and cook for another 2 minutes and switch off the flame, and let it be cool.
  7. Now stuff all the chilies with this potato and paneer mixture.
  8. Now again heat the remaining oil in the pan and palce all the chilies in it, cover it with a lid and cook for4-5 minutes.
  9. Serve these chilies as a side dish with hot dal and chapatti.
