Adaraki aloo –boiled potato cooked with a paste of ginger and lemon juice.

Adaraki aloo is a simple and easy to make recipe, which will be loved by your kids with simple plain parantha/ chapatti/puri. You can also check my adaraki dhaniya paneer recipe.

Ingredients for adaraki aloo –

  1. Boiled and chopped in large pieces potato -4
  2. Ginger paste -1 tbsp
  3. Turmeric powder -1 tsp
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Oil – 1tbsp
  6. Black mustard seeds -1 tsp
  7. Whole dried red chili -2
  8. Chopped coriander and ginger wedges for garnishing
  9. Roasted sesame -1 tsp
  10. Lemon juice -1 tbsp or as par your taste

Method for preparing adaraki aloo –

  1. Heat oil in a pan and temper it with black mustard seeds and whole dried red chili.
  2. Now add the ginger paste and sauté for few seconds.
  3. Now add the potato along with turmeric and salt and mix well.
  4. Now add the lemon juice and mix well.
  5. After one minute switch off the flame and sprinkle the sesame seeds and garnish the adaraki aloo with chopped coriander and ginger wedges and serve hot with puri/parantha/chapatti.
