A step by step recipe of bread pakoda –bread dipped in a batter of gram flour and deep fried.

In this bread pakora recipe, there is no stuffing involved. Just dipping the bread in the gram flour batter and frying them. Easy and quick recipe of bread.

Bread Pakora is a favorite breakfast and tea time snack at our home. Everyone loves it and I often make it. It’s a great snack to have during rains.

Prepared with or without fillings such as aloo and green peas, this mouth-watering deep-fried snack gets all the more exciting when topped with a variety of chutneys. Enjoy it hot and fresh off the kadhai, customized to your taste.

So lets proceed to the recipe –

Ingredients for bread pakoda –

  1. Bread slices -6-7
  2. Gram flour -1 cup
  3. Ginger paste -1 tsp
  4. Garlic paste -1 tsp
  5. Green chili paste -1 tsp
  6. Red chili powder -1 tsp
  7. Carom seeds/ajwain -1/2 tsp
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Oil for frying
  10. Some onion rounds and one green chili to garnish

Method for preparing bread pakoda –

  1. Cut the bread slices in triangle and keep aside.
  2. Now mix all the ingredients together in a bowl and make batter with the help of water.
  3. The batter should be a smooth batter.
  4. Heat oil in a pan or kadhai.
  5. Now dip the slices of bread in the gram flour batter and deep fry all your bread pakodas.
  6. Serve hot with green chutney or sauce along with onion and green chili, that tastes yummmm.
