A step by step recipe of besan ki bharwan mirchi –fress green chilies stuffed with besan masala.

Besan is found in most Marwari dishes. Here's a besan stuffing you can use to make anything. This is a spicy version with green chilies stuffed with besan masala.

Stuffed chilies are famous in all our India in different different style, you can stuff your chilies with lots of other things like roasted peanut powder, or with grated coconut, or with roasted gram flour and so on.

Lets proceed to the recipe.

Ingredients for besan ki bharwan mirchi –

  1. Besan/gram flour -1 cup
  2. Green chilies -7-8
  3. Oil –as required
  4. Red chili powder -1 tbsp
  5. Coriander powder -1 tsp
  6. Turmeric powder -1/2 tsp
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Lemon -1

Method to prepare besan ki bharwan mirchi –

  1. Heat oil in a pan.
  2. Now add besan/gram flour into it and mix.
  3. Now roast it till the besan becomes brown.
  4. Now add red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and salt.
  5. Now squeeze a lemon into it and mix.
  6. The besan masala is ready.
  7. Now, slit the chilies lengthwise from one side keeping the other side intact.
  8. Now heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan and half cook the chilies in it. Remove the chilies from the pan and keep them aside.
  9. Now stuff the besan masala in each chili.
  10. Now again heat 1 tbsp oil in the same pan.
  11. Add the stuffed chilies into it and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  12. Serve hot as a side dish with fulka and daal.
