A step by step recipe of santh ki chutney –it’s a simple imli(tamarind) and saunth(dry ginger powder) chutney.

This is simple chutney that we used to have with any kind of snacks like samosa, kachori or pakode.

I have used it in my dahi bhalle recipe.

My technique of making this saunth chutney is really an easy thing to do; you don’t have to do any extra effect or no need of waiting for its cooking process. Just because in my recipe you just have to mix all the ingredients and boil them for 15 minutes and then strain it and your saunth chutney is ready to use.

So now lets proceed to the recipe –

Ingredients for saunth ki chutney –

  1. Tamarind -100 gms
  2. Saunth powder/dry ginger powder -2 tbsp
  3. Tej patta/bay leaf -4-5
  4. Black salt -1 tsp
  5. Black pepper powder -1 tbsp
  6. Water -3 cups
  7. Sugar -1 tbsp
  8. Red chilli powder -1 tsp
  9. Salt to taste

Method to prepare saunth ki chutney –

  1. Take all the in a pan and boil it.
  2. Mix them and continue to cook.
  3. After some time you will see that it’s started to become thick.
  4. Mix it and cook it until it reduces its quantity to half.
  5. Now switch off the flame and strain it in a strainer.
  6. And your saunth chutney is ready to use.
