A delicious recipe of aloo methi malai --a very delicious and easy to make recipe of potato, fenugreek leaves and malai. Only three ingredients make a very delicious recipe.

This recipe is one of my favorite, because I love green vegetables. And love to use them in different ways.

I know you are thinking that “oh what to do my kids does not like fenugreek because of its bitterness?” but now you don’t have to vary about it. If you will make this recipe they will never say no to fenugreek.

Ingredients for aloo methi malai recipe –

  1. Boiled potato -4
  2. Boiled and slightly mashed fenugreek leaves/methi -1 cup
  3. Malai -1/2 cup
  4. Red chili powder -1 tsp
  5. Turmeric powder -1/2 tsp
  6. Coriander powder -1 tsp
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Oil -2 tbsp
  9. Cumin seeds -1 tsp
  10. Coriander leaves for garnishing

Method of preparing aloo methi malai –

  1. Heat oil in a pan and temper it with cumin seeds.
  2. Now add boiled and chopped potato into it.
  3. Now add the mashed fenugreek into it and mix.
  4. Now add all the powdered masala and mix.
  5. Add sufficient water to make gravy.
  6. Now after 5 minutes add malai into it.
  7. Cook for another 5 minutes and switch off the flame.
  8. Garnish it with coriander and serve hot with roti.
