A step by step recipe of rava upma -rawa upma is a traditional south India. it is made with rawa, pea nuts, onion and some spices. it is also known as suji and semolina.

Being from Bangalore I love south Indian dishes. They are just awesome. And rawa upma is one of my favorite. I always used to make it for my daughter. She loves semolina dishes like rawa idli, rawa dosa, sooji ke laddoo, chawal suji ke chile etc.

One easily gets upma in all the restaurants in south India including Maharashtra. In fact upma would be a regular breakfast or evening snack in my home. Upma is not only delicious but also a healthy breakfast option.

This can be a regular breakfast or evening snack to your home too. Just try it. I am sure you and your family will love it.

Making upma does not take much time and can be done in 15-20 minutes, if you have the roasted semolina ready. I always roast semolina and then keep in an air-tight container. This way the semolina stays good for a longer time and does not become moldy or spoilt. Also the time spent is less when you make upma or suji ka sheera.
