TIL KE LADDOO, HOW TO MAKE SESAME SEEDS LADDOO RECIPE

A step by step recipe of til ke laddoo –a simple and easy to make recipe of sesame seeds and jaggery for the occasion of makar sakranti, uttarayan and lohdi.

Til ke laddoo is one of my favorite because we make it on the occasion of makar sakranti. And this is my favorite festival because my birthday falls on this day.

In this recipe of mine I didn’t use much ingredients like peanuts or coconut or any other things. This recipe is very simple and contains just 3 ingredients. This is my mother’s recipe. She used to make it on makar sakranti.

Ingredients for til ke laddoo –

  1. Sesame seeds/til -2 cups
  2. Jaggery/gud –
  3. Cardamom powder/ilaichy -1 tsp

Method to prepare til ke laddoo –

  1.  Take the sesame seeds in a kadhai and roast them.
  2. Roast them for 5-6 minutes.
  3. They will start to crackle and the color will start to change.
  4. When they are roasted, the sound of cracking will not be there.
  5. Now crush the jaggery and put it in a hot kadhai.
  6. Melt it with 2-3 tbsp of water.
  7. Melt it completely until it come in a liquid form.
  8. Now add the cardamom powder into it and mix.
  9. Now add the roasted sesame and switch off the flame.
  10. Mix them and start making laddoo.
  11. The mixture should be hot enough to make the laddoos, otherwise it will be very difficult to make.
  12. And your sesame laddoos are ready to have.

Step by step recipe of til ke laddoo with pictures –

Take the sesame seeds in a kadhai and roast them.

Roast them for 5-6 minutes.

They will start to crackle and the color will start to change. When they are roasted, the sound of cracking will not be there.

Now crush the jaggery and put it in a hot kadhai. Melt it with 2-3 tbsp of water.

Melt it completely until it come in a liquid form.

Now add the cardamom powder into it and mix.

Now add the roasted sesame and switch off the flame.

Mix them and start making laddoo. The mixture should be hot enough to make the laddoos, otherwise it will be very difficult to make.

What I have done here is, I took a spoon full of the mixture.

And place it in a greased thali with a drop of ghee.

And after few seconds I remake them to give the shape of laddoo.

Make all the laddoo in the same way.

And your sesame laddoos are ready to have.
