A step by step recipe of French fries –homemade French fries made with potato, corn starch with a seasoning of black pepper powder and salt.

Basically French fries are make cooked with double frying process, but here I am not using that process to make my French fries.

What I did here is, first I blanched them in saline water and then spread them on a news paper to absorb the extra moisture. Then sprinkle the corn starch, black pepper powder and salt. Mix it and deep fry them and made my fries.

And the result will be really crispy recipe of French fries.

I used to make this recipe on the daily basis because of my daughter. It’s her favorite snack, infect she can have large bowl of French fries at a time.

And I am sure every kid love potato and dishes made with potato. So this recipe will also be loved by all kids.

Ingredients for French fries –

  1. Potato -6
  2. Black pepper powder -1/2 tsp
  3. Corn starch -2 tbsp
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Oil for deep fry

Method to prepare French fries –

  1. Peel the potato cut them in finger shape.
  2. Blanch them in saline water( half boil them in water with salt, it should not be cooked completely).
  3. Now strain the potato fingers in a strainer.
  4. And spread it on a news paper for 15 minutes.
  5. Now add corn starch, black pepper powder and salt to it.
  6. Heat enough oil in a kadhai.
  7. Add the potato fingers in it to fry.
  8. Let them to fry until there is a slight change in color of it.
  9. When they fried remove from the oil and serve hot with tomato ketchup.
